Registering for an Event

Instructions on registering for events with Great Events.


Q : Why am I asked to log in when I click "Book Event" ?
A :
In order to book an event with Great Events, we require some information about delegates and their companies - this allows us to contact delegates with further information on the event or with any concerns.
 
Once you have registered, with a unique user name and password, you will be able to log in and complete the event booking process.
Q : What do you do with the details I give you when I register?
A :
We collect your personal information only when you voluntarily give it to us in one of the following three ways:
  • Registering as an Executive Network Club member
  • Registering as a delegate prior to booking an event
  • Filling out your contact details on our Contact form
This information is used to provide you with certain features, like the ability to log in and use the Great Events online booking system.
 
We take your privacy seriously, and do not share personal information with third parties.
Q : How do I view more details about the events?
A :

Once you have navigated to the Events & Online Booking page, click "View" beneath the event name. This will take you to a page with more event details, including downloadable flyers and booking forms.

Q : Why are events shown in different colours?
A :
Each event is colour coded to identify the type of event it is - certain event types have registration limitations or have not yet had date and venue confirmations.
 
Business Events are maroon, and can be booked by any delegate.
Educational Events are orange, and can be booked by any delegate.
Executive Networking Club events are bright red, and can only be booked by Executive Networking Club members.
Future Events are yellow, and do not allow online booking - but you can register your interest in attending the event once it has a confirmed date, venue and price.
 
Q : I've clicked "Book Event" and filled out my registration details. Now that I've registered, how do I complete my event booking?
A :
Once you have registered, you will be asked if you are a member of the appropriate organisations for the event you are booking for, and shown an itemised price list, including VAT.
 
If you are a member of one of the listed organisations, please click "Yes, I am a member".
If you are not a member of one of the listed organisations, please select "No, I am not a member".
 
Once you have selected the appropriate option, please check that the number of persons you would like to book the event for is correct. If you change this number, please click "Recalculate" to ensure the price shown is correct.
 
If you wish to remove an event from your basket, click the tickmark in the box next to the event name to remove it, then click "Recalculate".
 
If you would like to book further events, click "Select Additional Events".
 
If you are finished selecting events and you are happy with the information shown on the page, please click on the "Book Event" button at the bottom.
Q : Now that I've logged in, chosen my membership status and clicked "Book Event" what do I do?
A :
The screen you are shown at this point confirms your final event booking costs, and asks for four additional pieces of information in order that we can provide you with the best possible experience at the event venue.
 
If you have any specific dietary or accessibility needs, please tick the appropriate box, then fill in your requirements in the text box below it.
 
If you would like to go on the optional venue tour (if applicable) please tick the appropriate box.
 
If you are a member of a professional organisation or society that is eligible for a discount on this event, please tell us which organisation(s) you are a member of.
 
Once you have filled out these details, please click "Submit" to go to the secure payments page.
Q : What is the payment process like?
A :
Once you have confirmed your booking for the events you have chosen, you will be redirected to the Streamline E-Solutions secure payments page.
 
First, you will be asked to select the type of card payment you would like to make. Click on the appropriate link to proceed to the page where you will enter your card details. This page is secure, and your details will be encrypted before transmission to the payments system.
 
Once you have completed your payment details, you will be asked to confirm them.
 
On confirmation, you will receive an e-mail with details of the event you booked for - if you do not receive this, please contact enquiries@greatevents.uk.com to retrieve a copy of this information.
